Job summary

NVR, Inc. seeks a Land Development Manager in Raleigh, NC to oversee the development and delivery of residential lots, coordinating grading, site preparation, and compliance with budgets and schedules.

You will work with internal teams, developers, and local agencies to ensure quality standards and timely approvals. Lead cross-functional collaboration, manage multiple projects, and drive process improvements while supporting team development and developer relationships.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in land development, construction, or real estate development.
  • Strong project coordination, budgeting, and analytical skills.
  • Experience working with developers, consultants, and government entities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines effectively.
  • Leadership or team support experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, real estate, or related field preferred.

  • Maintain database to track community status through municipal approval and land development.
  • Oversee grading, dirt work, and site preparation to meet quality standards.

  • Serve as liaison with municipalities, community groups, and industry organizations.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Conduct due diligence studies evaluating technical, financial, and market factors.
  • Maintain company standard database to track the status of each community through the municipal approval process and land development process. Review and manage HOA documentation, budgets, and approvals
  • Oversee grading, dirt work, and site preparation to ensure quality standards
  • Drive quality control, cost reduction, and value engineering initiatives
  • Participate in inspections, compliance reviews, and developer coordination
  • Serve as liaison with municipalities, community groups, and industry organizations
  • Support team development, training, and developer relationship management
