Job summary

Microbac Laboratories, Inc. seeks a Regional Director to oversee operations and financial performance across multiple accredited laboratory facilities. The role focuses on leadership, profitability, and client engagement, with on-site oversight in Dayville, CT or Baltimore, MD areas.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field, 10 years in a commercial laboratory, proven leadership, and strong communication, budgeting and forecasting skills. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science related field.
• 10 years of prior commercial laboratory experience.
• Proven leadership experience.
• Technical knowledge within laboratory testing industry.
• Previous success managing P&Ls, budgeting, forecasting.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to conduct analysis and read, interpret, and report technical data.
• Ability to respond effectively to sensitive or highly technical inquiries.
• Ability to motivate others and manage through change.

Responsibilities

• Oversee profitability of multiple lab facilities with financial, human capital and resource management.
• Lead activities related to processing samples, consulting clients, or research with cost efficiency and high quality.
• Establish and monitor operations, production, purchasing, record keeping and safety standards.
• Build strong client relationships and provide lab capabilities to current and potential clients.
• Maintain safe, clean, and efficient laboratory facilities; support corporate policies.
• Recruit, train, and motivate staff; ensure a compliant work environment.
• Set strategic goals by analyzing business and operational information.
