Your Health in Aiken, SC is seeking a Regional Lab Coordinator to oversee lab draw coordination, document lab orders in the EHR, and support phlebotomy training for staff. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification in phlebotomy preferred.
• 2+ years of healthcare experience, preferably in clinical or laboratory settings.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR).
• Ability to travel throughout the assigned region.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and track lab draw requests across the region in alignment with provider orders.
• Ensure accurate documentation of lab orders, collections, and results within the EHR.
• Confirm timely delivery of lab specimens and escalate delays as needed.
• Maintain weekly reporting on lab draw volumes, turnaround times, and barriers.
• Notify providers and care teams of pending lab results or follow-ups.
• Liaise between providers and the laboratory team to troubleshoot issues.
• Support onboarding and training of new clinical staff on lab protocols.
• Reinforce best practices for specimen collection, labeling, storage, and documentation.
• Participate in monthly lab update calls and disseminate new procedures.
• Ensure compliance with lab safety, infection control, and HIPAA.
• Conduct regular audits of lab-related documentation to correct errors.
• Participate in regional quality improvement initiatives tied to lab services.
• Standardize workflows with the Director of Lab and other Regional Lab Coordinators.
• Attend regional operations meetings and share performance metrics and improvements.
