The Kaiser Permanente laboratory is seeking a Laboratory Assistant I to support high-volume pre- and post-analytic workflow in a fast-paced environment. You will receive, sort, label, and deliver specimens and assist with automation systems and LIS software.

Responsibilities include processing specimens, troubleshooting equipment, packaging samples for routing, and delivering accurate information to internal teams. Strong attention to detail and customer service skills are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

Aufgaben

• Receive, sort, aliquot, label, recaps, prioritizes and deliver specimens to correct technical department.
• Operate automated specimen processing equipment and associated software.
• Maintain automation (preventative maintenance, cleaning, etc.) and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Prepare specimen transport containers for delivery to facility laboratories; package and record specimens for forwarding.
• Provide customer service and resolve specimen or patient data problems per SOP.
