Job summary

Exaktera is seeking a Regional IT Operations Manager to design, secure, and evolve the core IT infrastructure across US sites. The role provides technical leadership and coordination for local IT teams and aims to reduce operational risk through standardization and resilience. Travel to the Vermont site is required as business needs arise.

Qualifications

• PowerShell automation experience for infrastructure tasks.

• ERP system operational support experience (Business Central preferred).

The Regional IT Operations Manager

is responsible for the design, stability, security, and evolution of Exaktera’s core IT infrastructure across US based sites.

While not a formal people management position, the role provides technical leadership, mentorship, and operational coordination to local IT teams, helping drive consistency, resilience, standardization, security, and reduction of operational risk across the region.

The successful candidate should be located on the U.S. East Coast, preferably in the Northeast region, and be able to travel to the Vermont site as business needs require.

Technical Skills:

• VMware vSphere administration in production environments
• Enterprise networking fundamentals (VLANs, routing concepts, CLI-based switching)
• Microsoft 365 and Entra ID administration
• Active Directory consolidation
• Identity, MFA, and SSO integration concepts
• Incident response collaboration with MDR providers (e.g., Arctic Wolf)
• Experience evaluating and implementing infrastructure improvements across multi-site environments
• Strong technical decision-making and risk assessment capabilities
• Manufacturing or regulated IT environments
• Multi-site or post-acquisition IT integration experience

Required Qualifications & Skills

• PowerShell automation (infrastructure-safe)
• SharePoint / Microsoft 365 migrations
• ERP system operational support (Business Central preferred)
