Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of IT experience in a manufacturing environment, including leadership of IT teams.
• Hands-on systems troubleshooting and physical hardware management (PCs, switches, firewalls).
• Experience in IT project management, budgeting, and vendor purchasing for IT projects.
• Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Server, Virtual Machines, Windows OS, and networking concepts.
• Experience with ERP systems (required); Sage X3 preferred.
• Cybersecurity management including CMMC compliance; familiarity with ITAR, HIPAA, or FINRA preferred.
• Hands-on physical network cabling experience preferred (cabling, ports).
• Relevant certifications preferred (A+, Network+, Security+, Windows Server, Cisco, ITIL, PMP, CAPM).

Exxelia is seeking an experienced and strategic IT Manager to lead and optimize our IT operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

In this role, you will oversee our IT infrastructure, guide the technical team, and manage key vendor partnerships. You will bridge the gap between technology and manufacturing operations, ensuring our systems, network, and data security are robust, compliant, and aligned with our overall business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team & Infrastructure Leadership: Lead the IT infrastructure team, managing both in-house and outsourced Help Desk resources; oversee plant-floor and office IT infrastructure, physical networking, switches, firewalls, and hardware to minimize production downtime.
• Project & Budget Management: Act as lead Project Manager for IT initiatives, using cost/benefit analysis to prioritize projects, direct internal/external resources, and manage vendor procurement and RFPs.
• Business & ERP Alignment: Maintain deep knowledge of business processes to align IT solutions with strategic goals; manage and support enterprise ERP systems (Sage X3).
• Security & Compliance: Execute cybersecurity concepts and ensure full compliance with corporate, client, and regulatory standards (including CMMC and ITAR).
• Strategic Technology Advisory: Serve as the IT voice in operational meetings, providing objective technology recommendations and managing third-party vendor relationships.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of IT experience in a manufacturing environment required, including demonstrated experience leading IT teams.
• Experience with hands-on systems troubleshooting and physical hardware management (building/repairing PCs, switches, firewalls).
• Experience in IT project management, managing an IT budget, and handling vendor purchasing for IT projects.
• Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Server, Virtual Machines, Windows OS, and networking concepts.
• Experience with ERP systems (required); experience with Sage X3 preferred.
• Cybersecurity management experience, including CMMC compliance; familiarity with ITAR, HIPAA, or FINRA preferred.
• Hands-on physical network cabling experience preferred (making cables, running lines, installing ports).
• Relevant certifications preferred (A+, Network+, Security+, Windows Server, Cisco, ITIL, PMP, CAPM).
