Job summary

The City of Houston is seeking a grant-funded administrative professional to support the Office of Public Safety and Homeland Security with regional information sharing systems built on Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, and Power Platform.

Primary duties include coordinating regional information sharing, maintaining the Houston UASI website, assisting partners to access the system, and supporting planning and preparedness activities. Requires a bachelor’s degree and 3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field.
• Three years of professional administrative, financial or analytical experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate regional information sharing and data analytics by implementing Microsoft 365 applications (Teams, SharePoint, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI).
• Manage and develop content on the Houston UASI website.
• Assist regional partners to access the region’s information sharing system and troubleshoot issues.
• Support regional committees/workgroups in implementing the information sharing system (SharePoint sites, Teams sites, channels, automations, apps).
• Develop methods to capture, analyze, and shape data within the system.
• Collaborate with administrators of partner organizations’ information systems on information sharing via APIs or alternatives.
• Develop and maintain documentation (user agreements, governance, data sharing, training).
• Develop and run regional information sharing trainings and exercises.
