Job summary

Liebherr USA is seeking an Information Security Specialist responsible for information security across the Americas region, designing and implementing security controls, incident response strategies, and risk mitigation to protect IT systems and data. Office-based in Newport News, VA or Saline, MI.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity/CS/IT or related field with 4 years of IT security experience (or equivalent).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, CS, IT or related; 4 years IT security experience or 8 years total.
• Information Security certifications can substitute for degree.
• Security+ preferred.
• Knowledge of NIST CSF, CIS Controls, ISO 27001.
• Experience with IAM, threat modeling, and risk analysis.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements security solutions to protect IT infrastructure.
• Develops security policies, standards, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Conducts penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and security audits.
• Investigates security incidents and performs forensic analysis.
• Ensures compliance with GDPR, NIS2, ISO 27001.
• Evaluates and integrates new security tools and technologies.
• Automates security processes and threat mitigation where possible.
• Works with IT, DevOps, and risk management teams.
• Engages with regulatory bodies and compliance auditors.
• Coordinates with external cybersecurity partner.
