Job summary

Casa of Hobart is seeking an experienced Regional HVAC & Refrigeration Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment across multiple customer locations in the Hobart, IN region.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of field experience, EPA 608 certification, and strong diagnostic skills. This role requires travel within the region, occasional overnight work, and a commitment to safety and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of commercial HVAC and refrigeration service experience.
• EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on rooftop units, split systems, heat pumps, package units, chillers, walk‑in coolers/freezers, ice machines, and related equipment.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and control system issues.
• Recover, evacuate, charge, and leak‑test refrigerant systems per EPA regulations.
• Read blueprints and control schematics; interpret manufacturer specifications.
• Start up and commission newly installed HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Maintain accurate service reports and work orders using mobile software.
• Communicate with customers regarding condition, options, and maintenance recommendations.
• Travel within the assigned region; participate in on‑call rotations and overnight travel as needed.
