Job summary

Walmart is seeking an experienced Licensed Facilities Maintenance Operations Manager to lead HVAC/R across the regional market, expanding role beyond single-site service to oversee performance across multiple locations and develop a team of skilled technicians.

The candidate must hold an active HVAC/R Mechanical Contractor license and EPA certification, with 3–5 years in facilities or related fields, strong HVAC knowledge, and leadership ability.

Qualifications

• Current HVAC/R Mechanical Contractor license in good standing in your state of residence
• EPA Universal Certification is required
• 3-5 years of experience in facilities management, construction management, mechanical maintenance, engineering or a related field
• Strong HVAC/mechanical knowledge
• Leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate and develop others
• Strong communication, problem-solving and customer-service skills
• Experience with root-cause and equipment breakdown analysis

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of facilities maintenance technicians
• Oversee HVAC/R and general building maintenance across your assigned locations
• Partner with Store Managers and Facilities Services leaders to identify and resolve facility needs
• Use reporting, analytics and root-cause analysis to improve equipment reliability and maintenance performance
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors when needed
• Maintain required contractor licensing and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
• Secure required permits and coordinate inspections in accordance with mechanical and building codes
• Conduct site inspections to support safety, quality and compliance standards
