Job summary

Saia Inc. is seeking an experienced human resources leader to serve as the primary HR contact for employees across regional areas. You will collaborate with management to shape and execute HR strategies that support business objectives.

In this role you will manage staffing, benefits, employee relations, training, safety, and compliance, lead disciplinary actions, coach leadership, and drive retention while traveling 50% or more to support facilities nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive human resources management or generalist experience.
• Federal, state, and local employment law knowledge.
• Willingness to travel 50% or more of the time.

Responsibilities

• Manages the execution and delivery of human resources programs and policies, including staffing, benefits, employee relations, training, and safety programs.
• Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
• Provides guidance and coaching to leadership on the performance management process.
• Works with field and corporate teams to unify human resources practices across the organization.
• Ensures locations are compliant with labor laws and regulatory compliance.
• Assists in the design and implementation of employee retention strategies.
• Coordinates quarterly visits to regional facilities and conducts employee meetings.

Salary Range: $106,500.00 - $134,200.00 annually, based on experience. This position is bonus eligible.
