Apple Rehab Cromwell is seeking a Regional HR & Payroll Coordinator to oversee two facilities in the Cromwell area. The role focuses on recruitment coordination, pre-employment screening, offers, and onboarding processes with adherence to HR policies.

The position includes payroll responsibilities, benefits administration, and staff training coordination, ensuring regulatory compliance and timely personnel management across facilities.

Qualifications

• 4 years of HR experience.
• Strong knowledge of Human Resource laws and regulations.

• Payroll experience with flexible holiday scheduling.
• Experience overseeing HR tasks for multiple facilities/entities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate hiring and recruitment with facility management.
• Interview and screen qualified candidates; schedule interviews with staff.
• Conduct pre-employment screenings including references and background checks.
• With Administrator approval, make job offers.
• Set up orientation and coordinate with HR personnel for new hires.
• Ensure benefits and company policies are reviewed with new hires.
• Assist Supervisor in planning staff appreciation events and evaluations.

Job Description:

Up to $70,000

Regional HR/Payroll Coordinator *This position oversees two facilities in the Cromwell area*

Regional HR & Payroll Coordinator

• Coordinates efforts with facility management to manage hiring and recruiting.

• Interviews and screens qualified candidates. Recommends qualified candidates for Manager's review. Arranges interview schedules with other staff members as appropriate.

• Conducts all pre-employment processes including reference checks, background checks, pre-employment physical and drug screen.

• With Administrator approval, makes job offer.

• Sets up orientation program for new hires and coordinates with appropriate personnel.

• Ensures benefits and company policies are thoroughly reviewed.

• Follows up to ensure employee receives appropriate orientation and schedules additional training if needed.

• The Regional HR & Payroll Coordinatorassists Supervisor in planning and holding staff appreciation events and functions.

• Works with Supervisor to evaluate new hire's performance prior to 90th work day as well as yearly employee evaluations.

• Plans, organizes, develops and implements all payroll functions in accordance with current company policies as well as federal, state and local regulations and procedures, in an accurate, neat and organized manner.

Required Qualifications:

• 4 years of HR experience

• Strong knowledge of Human Resource laws and regulations

• Experience working in an HR department with included responsibilities of recruitment and on-boarding

• Payroll experience with flexible schedule for holidays

• Prior experience overseeing HR tasks and duties for multiple facilities/entities

• Self motivated individual with superb time management skills & ability to work with a sense of urgency

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a nursing home or other healthcare setting
