The Regional Human Resources Business Partner oversees HR functions across assigned markets, partnering with operational leaders to drive business objectives and support organizational effectiveness. This role provides strategic and hands‑on HR support, including employee relations, leadership coaching, talent acquisition, succession planning, compensation, engagement, training, and compliance. The position also supports critical business initiatives, major events, and HR teams across the Southwest Division and Northern California.
Reports to the Vice President, Field Human Resources.
Partners with Regional Vice Presidents, Market Leaders, Operations Leadership, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Labor Relations, and Centers of Excellence.
Supports multiple markets, locations, and operational teams throughout the region.
- Partner with location leadership to achieve HR and business objectives.
- Support employee training, onboarding, performance management, and leadership development.
- Ensure managers have the tools and resources needed to drive team success.
- Promote consistent application of company policies and procedures.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations and HR processes.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- Maintain accurate employee records and audit employment documentation.
- Support HR processes including promotions, terminations, leaves of absence, benefits escalations, and payroll inquiries.
- Utilize Compass Group systems effectively and support labor relations initiatives as needed.
- Coach and develop leaders across the division.
- Support recruiting, retention, workforce planning, and succession management efforts.
- Foster an inclusive, engaging workplace culture.
- Assist with onboarding and development of HR team members and operational leaders.
- Promote recognition programs, employee engagement, and effective communication across markets.
- Partner with leaders to attract, hire, develop, and retain top talent.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience supporting multi‑site operations.
- Experience partnering with senior leaders in fast‑paced environments.
- Strong employee relations and workplace investigation experience.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Proven project management, change management, and leadership coaching skills.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem‑solving, and relationship‑building abilities.
- Ability to analyze workforce data and provide actionable recommendations.
- Ability to travel approximately 40‑60% throughout the region.
- Flexibility to support business needs outside standard business hours.
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM‑CP, or SHRM‑SCP certification.
- Experience supporting multi‑state workforces.
- Labor relations or union environment experience.
- Experience in food service, hospitality, retail, logistics, manufacturing, or other operational environments.
- Experience with workforce planning, succession management, and organizational development initiatives.
