Job summary

Brookfield Energy, part of Brookfield Asset Management Inc., is seeking a seasoned HSS&E leader to serve as regional subject matter expert. You will partner with Corporate HSS&E, Asset Management and portfolio companies to implement robust safety programs and ensure regulatory compliance.

You will drive due diligence for acquisitions, coordinate gap analyses and asset condition reviews, and lead investigations of high-risk incidents.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years Health & Safety experience in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
• Renewables sector experience preferred or equivalent high-risk industry.
• Ability to interpret standards, regulations and apply them practically.
• Strong written and spoken English with clear, professional reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and serve as the HSS&E subject matter expert for the regional Asset Management team.
• Support portfolio companies in implementing HSS&E programs and processes in line with Brookfield standards.
• Lead HSS&E due diligence initiatives for potential acquisitions/investments.
• Coordinate HSS&E gap analyses for newly acquired businesses and conduct risk assessments.
• Coordinate HSS&E training and reporting across portfolio companies and Brookfield Corporate.
