Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Regional Human Resources Manager to function as a strategic HR partner across store operations within defined regions. You will drive people strategies, strengthen organizational performance, and enhance the Team Member experience.

Your day-to-day includes talent development, succession planning, employee relations, and workforce analytics to deliver actionable business insights and continuous improvement across regions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5–7 years of progressive HR experience supporting a multi-unit retail organization.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, performance management, talent development, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence leaders and build partnerships across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Experience analyzing workforce data and translating insights into actionable business recommendations.
  • Strong communication, coaching, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.

Regional Human Resources Manager

About Your Role:

As a Regional Human Resources Manager at Dollar Tree, you'll serve as a strategic Human Resources partner to Store Operations, supporting one or more retail regions by driving people strategies that strengthen organizational performance and enhance the Team Member experience. You'll partner closely with Regional Vice Presidents, Regional Directors, District Managers, and cross-functional business partners to develop talent, improve workforce stability, ensure compliance, and foster a high-performing culture.

Your day-to-day job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership
  • Partner with Regional Vice Presidents, Regional Directors, District Managers, and Store Operations leadership to align Human Resources strategies with business objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to field leadership on organizational effectiveness, talent management, workforce planning, and employee engagement.
  • Collaborate with Store Operations Business Partners to ensure consistent execution of Human Resources programs, policies, and best practices.
  • Represent Human Resources on cross-functional initiatives, process improvements, and company projects that support Store Operations.
Talent Development & Workforce Planning
  • Lead succession planning initiatives to build strong leadership pipelines across assigned regions.
  • Drive training compliance and partner with leaders to identify development opportunities for Team Members.
  • Coach and develop leaders at all levels through performance management, career development, and individual development planning.
  • Support the company's Talent Management process, including talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership assessments.
  • Develop and implement strategies that improve Team Member engagement, retention, and workforce stabilization.
Employee Relations & Compliance
  • Partner with Team Relations, Asset Protection, and field leadership to conduct workplace investigations and ensure timely, consistent resolution of employee relations matters.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws to ensure compliance across assigned regions.
  • Provide guidance to leaders on company policies, employment practices, corrective action, and performance management.
  • Support the implementation of new Human Resources programs, initiatives, and organizational changes.
Workforce Analytics & Continuous Improvement
  • Analyze workforce metrics, turnover trends, engagement results, and operational reports to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop action-oriented plans with field leadership to improve retention, engagement, staffing, and overall business performance.
  • Monitor key people metrics and provide recommendations that support operational excellence and organizational effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities to improve Human Resources processes and enhance the Team Member experience.
Your Required Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 5–7 years of progressive Human Resources experience supporting a multi-unit retail organization.
  • Strong knowledge of Human Resources practices, employee relations, performance management, talent development, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence leaders and build strong business partnerships across multiple levels of an organization.
  • Experience analyzing workforce data and translating insights into actionable business recommendations.
  • Strong communication, coaching, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills.

Preferred Requirements:
  • Professional Human Resources certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP).
  • Human Resources experience supporting large, multi-site retail operations.
  • Bilingual Spanish language skills.
  • Experience leading organizational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
