Job summary

Edify is seeking a Regional Human Resource Director to lead HR across Central America, collaborating with country leadership to develop and implement HR policies that align with Edify’s values and legal requirements. The role involves regional travel and a matrix relationship to HR leadership in the United States.

The ideal candidate will drive staffing, compliance, and talent development across multiple countries, leveraging HRIS systems and global standards within a nonprofit setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum eight years of HR management experience.
• Fluent in Spanish and English; SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Regional VP and country leadership to align staffing, recruiting, and retention with organizational goals.
• Plans and implements HR policies, processes, training, and surveys in line with Edify standards.
• Oversees compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, investigations, performance management, and talent development.
• Identifies staffing needs and develops hiring and retention strategies for country growth.
• Monitors HR metrics and ensures compliance with local employment laws and regulations.
• Keeps management informed of policy changes and regulatory updates in region.
