Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospital is hiring a Hospital Maintenance Technician for the Chicago North region. You will maintain and repair hospital facilities and medical equipment, manage maintenance work orders, and coordinate contracts for regional projects.

The role requires at least three years in construction or maintenance, with preferred knowledge of building systems, blueprints, and electrical/plumbing work. Some travel within MVH guidelines is expected.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in Construction or Maintenance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Facilities Management or similar field preferred.
• Working knowledge of construction terms, blueprints, and carpentry is required.

Responsibilities

• Live the Five Principles of Mars within self and team.
• Manage facility repair and preventive maintenance tasks, including painting, cabinetry, drywall, and plumbing/electrical work.
• Schedule and track maintenance work orders and communicate timelines to hospitals and managers.
• Perform medical equipment preventive maintenance and report on-repairable damage.
• Inspect and report facility damages, repairs, and construction variances.
• Coordinate travel within MVH guidelines and budget; some travel required.
