Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Lexington, NC, offering weekly pay and excellent benefits. The role covers regional routes with sleeper tractors and 53' dry vans, including a $2,500 sign-on bonus and a weekly guarantee of $1,600 plus a weekly average of $1,800–$2,000.

Training is provided and home time varies by schedule. Expect nightly per diem in-truck pay, a monthly safety bonus, backhaul miles, and a strong emphasis on safety and career growth.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must pass Ryder drug test and background check.
• Must pass a DOT physical and road test.
• Must have Class A verifiable sleeper experience.
• 9 months experience within past 3 years, OR 2 years in last 5, OR 5 years in last 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules and guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading if required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• $65 per night in the truck with 3 - 5 nights per Week

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road testProvide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
