Job summary

Host Terminals, LLC is seeking an Operator for the Port Allen, LA location. The role requires operating heavy equipment, including cranes and bulldozers, and adhering to safety and operating procedures. Candidates must be available for varied shifts and capable of regional travel to multiple Host locations.

Qualifications include HS diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and TWIC (or ability to obtain). The position is full-time and non-exempt, reporting to the Terminal Manager.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with experience operating heavy machinery including cranes and bulldozers.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and TWIC or ability to obtain TWIC.
• Ability to respond to issues quickly, safely and effectively in a fast-paced operating environment.

Responsibilities

• Operates conveying equipment, dust collectors, ship loader and related equipment per plan and supervisor instructions.
• Operates mobile equipment (D-4 bulldozer, skid steers, front end loaders, ship gear) as needed.
• Performs minor maintenance tasks and inspections to maximize port systems availability and reliability.
• Ensures compliance with governmental, state, and company certification standards.
