Job summary

Host Terminals, LLC in Port Allen, LA is seeking an Operator to load ships and operate heavy equipment per operating plans. The role requires handling cranes, bulldozers, loaders, and related equipment while maintaining safety and housekeeping standards.

The successful candidate will be adaptable, with a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, and must be able to work outside in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with experience operating heavy machinery including cranes and bulldozers.
• Ability to respond quickly, safely and effectively in a fast-paced operating environment.
• Valid driver’s license and TWIC or ability to obtain a TWIC.
• Ability to work outside in all types of weather.
• Must be available to work varied hours, shifts including days/nights/weekends/holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Operates conveying equipment, dust collectors, ship loader and associated equipment to load ships per operating plan and instructions.
• Operates mobile equipment (D-4 bulldozer, skid steers, loaders, ship gear) per terminal SOPs.
• Maintains housekeeping and safety standards; supports fire safety program and location requirements.
• Provides periodic training/travel to other Host locations as needed with Port Allen as primary location.
