Job summary

Akron Children’s Hospital is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee a subspecialty practice and manage day-to-day operations, while supervising a team of exempt and non-exempt staff. The role includes regional oversight of one to two additional sites and responsibility for financial performance.

Candidates should have an Associate’s degree in Healthcare Administration or 3+ years of healthcare leadership experience, with a Healthcare Management certification within two years.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Healthcare Administration or 4+ years healthcare leadership experience.
• Certificate in Healthcare Management within two years of hire.
• Minimum three years in healthcare leadership, preferably overseeing multiple facilities/sites.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations to ensure efficient patient flow and optimal use of shared clinical space.
• Develop and implement standardized operational processes and workflows.
• Monitor KPIs and metrics to assess operational performance and identify improvements.
• Recruit, train and retain staff to maintain a high-performing workforce.
• Develop employee engagement initiatives to boost morale and retention.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve resource utilization.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders, including clinicians and administrators.
• Represent the organization regionally to enhance visibility and reputation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
