Job summary

Compass Senior Living seeks a Regional Health & Wellness Director to provide clinical and operational leadership across senior living communities. You will guide Wellness Directors, support regulatory compliance, and advance person-centered care with a focus on safety and quality.

You will mentor leadership teams, coordinate with executives, and drive regional strategies in clinical governance, staff development, and resident outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license preferred; LPN/LVN considered per state requirements.
• Multi-site senior living leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of resident assessment, service planning, medication management, infection prevention, incident management, clinical documentation, and quality improvement.
• Experience supporting regulatory surveys and compliance across states.
• Ability to coach and develop clinical leaders, influence without direct authority, manage competing priorities, and drive accountability across multiple locations.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn company systems.
• Valid driver license and ability to meet driving requirements.
• Must meet applicable background, health, credentialing, and licensure requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide regional leadership, coaching, education, and mentorship to Wellness Directors and community wellness teams across assigned communities.
• Partner with Executive Directors and other leaders to identify priorities, remove barriers, and strengthen performance.
• Support onboarding, orientation, development, and ongoing competency of Wellness Directors and clinical leaders.
• Provide interim clinical leadership and hands-on community support during vacancies or critical needs.
• Conduct routine community visits and communicate wellness priorities and follow-ups.
• Promote accountability, collaboration, and a positive team culture aligned with Compass Senior Living values.
• Oversee resident assessments, service plans, changes in condition, level-of-care decisions, move-in readiness, and care transitions.
• Ensure accurate wellness documentation and resident records; review incidents and trends for improvement.
• Support regulatory surveys, compliance, and corrective action plans across states.
• Coach Wellness Directors on hiring, scheduling, performance management, and retention.
• Develop regional clinical education and leadership development; support hiring for key clinical roles.
• Monitor risk and quality metrics; drive continuous improvement.
• Partner with operations on budgets, staffing, and care-revenue planning; support move-ins and transitions.
