Job summary

Safety-Kleen, part of Clean Harbors, is seeking a Regional Hazardous Waste Tanker Specialist to operate from East Chicago, IN and haul hazardous and non-hazardous liquids across the Midwest. Expect 60–65 hours per week with weekly home time.

You will protect people and the environment by maintaining strict safety standards, verifying weights, loading and unloading, and documenting all trips and inspections. Home time and robust benefits included.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL required.
• HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements required.
• 12 months Class A driving experience.
• 3 months tanker experience.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work at heights.
• Comfort with mobile applications and basic computer software.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer tanker equipment with safe work practices and policies.
• Verify legal weights and optimize unit utilization.
• Load/unload hazardous and non-hazardous waste, secure every load.
• Placard vehicles per DOT regulations.
• Document logs, time sheets, expenses, dispatch paperwork, and inspections.
