Job summary
Thrive-Pet-Healthcare in Chicago is seeking a Regional GP Veterinarian for a flexible schedule in the Chicago area. This role offers full‑time or part‑time options, region-wide travel, and the stability of Thrive's support and benefits.
You will deliver wellness, emergency, and surgical services with a focus on client relationships and high-quality care. Candidates should have a DVM/VMD, valid state license, and a DEA license or eligibility, plus GP experience and surgical/dental skills.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent degree required.
- Active State Veterinary Board License in good standing in the hire state.
- Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible.
- Minimum of 3 years of general practice experience OR internship plus 1 year GP experience.
- Surgical and dental experience required.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care, including wellness, emergency, and surgical services.
- Build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and support staff.
- Maintain accurate medical records and clear communication.
- Support and mentor newer veterinarians when needed.
