Job summary

Preston Harris Group is seeking a Regional Geriatric Physician to deliver high‑quality medical care across three geriatric and long‑term care facilities in the Boston, MA area. The role focuses on hands‑on clinical care for elderly residents with regular facility visits and collaborative care planning.

The ideal candidate has MD or DO with an active license and experience in geriatric or nursing home settings.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with an active and unrestricted medical license.
• Experience providing medical care to geriatric, long‑term care, skilled nursing, or nursing home patients.
• Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct medical care to elderly residents in long‑term care and skilled nursing facilities.
• Conduct patient evaluations, follow‑up visits, and routine medical assessments.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans.
• Review medications and make appropriate adjustments.
• Monitor changes in patients' medical conditions and coordinate treatment.
• Work closely with nursing staff, administrators, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Respond to complex medical issues and provide clinical guidance when needed.
• Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
• Help ensure high‑quality, patient‑centered care and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Coordinate with specialists, hospitals, and other providers when necessary.
