Regional General Manager - New York City

Our fleets include pedal and electric bicycles, standing and seated e-scooters, e-cargo bikes, and ADA accessible devices. We design and build our own vehicles, hardware, and software systems in house, and operate all local services to provide safe, efficient, and sustainable mobility solutions for communities. Job Summary
As a General Manager, you will oversee the success and growth of Veo in the New York City area. This pivotal role requires a problem-solver with strong analytical skills, proactive communication, entrepreneurial spirit, and a desire to make a measurable impact. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the candidate must be based in the greater NYC area and able to work on-site at our warehouses in Bronx and Queens at least 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Own your business: Manage P&L and meet operational and financial targets.
  • Enhance operational efficiency: Improve productivity, reduce costs, and increase margins.
  • Resolve operational issues: Maximize fleet uptime, optimize distribution, and minimize losses.
  • Data-driven decision making: Use data to analyze markets and inform strategies.
  • Build and develop team: Lead recruitment, training, and mentorship of local teams.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with various departments to ensure quality and incorporate feedback.
  • Travel up to 40% as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; quantitative degree preferred.
  • 5+ years in operations management, consulting, or related fields, with experience in team building, process optimization, and achieving business goals.
  • Excellent communicator and motivator.
  • Strong analytical skills, with understanding of real-time market dynamics.
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities in ambiguous environments.
  • Detail-oriented and process-focused, with a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Adaptable to new concepts and tools.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and eager to grow within the role.
  • Startup experience is a plus.

Compensation

The base salary range is $120,000 - $140,000 plus bonuses, stock options, and benefits. Total compensation including bonus potential ranges from $137,500 to $170,000 per year. Compensation may vary based on location, experience, and performance.
