ABOUT VIEW

VIEW is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting endangered wildlife by addressing the health threats they face in their native habitats. Through partnerships with veterinarians, scientists, and conservation leaders around the world, VIEW supports field programs and applied research that directly improve outcomes for vulnerable species. VIEW operates with a lean executive team and is supported by an engaged board and a growing Chairman's Advisory Council.

POSITION OVERVIEW

VIEW is seeking a Part-Time Fundraiser to support the Executive Director in donor relations. This is a contract role ideal for early career experience in the nonprofit fundraising world. This role will include executive-level event support for donor gatherings and board meetings. Looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic, mission-driven environment and is comfortable working closely with senior leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Donor Relations & Communications
  • Maintain a consistent outreach cadence with VIEW's donors in the greater Yellowstone ecosystem to support cultivation and stewardship
  • Draft and refine donor correspondence, proposals, and updates in close collaboration with the Executive Director
  • Track the Executive Director's donor engagement commitments and follow-up items, ensuring timely action and accountability
Foundation & Grant Fundraising
  • Manage foundation relationships on behalf of VIEW
  • Manage grant opportunities and funding prospects aligned with VIEW's mission
Events & Executive Support
  • Assist in planning and executing logistics for donor gatherings and in-person board meetings, including venues, catering, materials, invitations, and attendee communications
  • Prepare the Executive Director for events and manage follow-through on commitments and action items arising from them

QUALIFICATIONS (Required):
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree required or currently pursuing.
  • Located in the Bozeman, Montana or Greater Yellowstone ecosystem area.
QUALIFICATIONS (Nice to have’s):
  • Someone with an interest in nonprofit fundraising experience, with a strong track record in major gifts and donor cultivation
  • Support and collaborate directly with Executive Directors, including drafting correspondence and managing follow-through
  • Experience with foundation relations and grant writing, including RFP responses
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Comfortable managing up — keeping leadership on track with donor commitments and deadlines
  • Familiarity with database management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion for wildlife conservation
