Regional Food Service Director of Operations - New Jersey Region

Position Overview

As a Regional Director of Operations (RDO), you will lead, manage, and inspire a team of District Managers and other leaders within your region. You will be part of the regional leadership team, providing planning, direction, and guidance to your accounts, while establishing and maintaining strong client relationships. Your goal is to achieve operational and financial targets in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and motivate a diverse team to deliver exceptional service
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and achieve KPIs such as profitability, safety, and engagement
• Participate in regional leadership meetings, share best practices, and promote diversity and community
• Oversee all accounts within your territory, ensuring effective communication and decision-making
• Support the RVP in setting and fostering a positive regional culture
• Represent the company to senior clients and serve as an escalation point
• Collaborate on sales and retention strategies for accounts
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance, policies, and USDA requirements
• Support staff development, conduct performance evaluations, and plan for succession
• Manage financial results, including P&L, forecasting, and budgeting
• Administer policies fairly and consistently
• Stay informed about marketplace trends and contribute to strategic planning

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited institution, or eight (8) years of progressive experience in multi-unit foodservice, hospitality, or related support services in lieu of a degree

• Leadership experience with contract/budget management, customer service, and team development
• Proven track record of business growth and financial acumen
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills
