Job summary

KPH Healthcare Services, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacist to cover Pharmacy Departments across assigned stores. You will dispense prescriptions, counsel patients, and ensure quality assurance and compliance with regulations.

The role includes managing inventory, processing third-party claims, and training staff while maintaining confidentiality and exceptional customer service. Travel between stores is required.

Qualifications

• Possess and maintain a valid State License and current registration to practice Pharmacy.
• Ability to stand/walk throughout majority of shift.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment and/or random drug screening test.
• Certified Immunizer.
• Must be able to travel between stores to cover within an assigned area as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions and counsel patients following the Kinney Standard of Practice.
• Perform quality assurance steps to ensure technically accurate prescriptions; report dispensing incidents as required.
• Follow all state and federal guidelines governing Pharmacy practice.
• Oversee submission, resubmission and collection of third party claims.
• Manage and balance pharmacy inventory to maximize turns while meeting customer needs.
• Oversee inventory checks for outdates and processing of returns.
• Maintain prescription files and records per state and federal guidelines.
• Ensure in-store pharmacy technology is used to maximize ROI and lifespan.
• Ensure outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees at all times.
• Adhere to Loss Prevention policies and report deviations.
• Assist in implementing corporate pharmacy marketing and promotional programs.
• Oversee maintenance of the pharmacy department for a clean, professional environment.
• Develop professional relationships with doctors and health professionals.
• Stay aware of developments in Pharmacy and Health Care Services related to job responsibilities.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and facilitate communication between staff.
• Assist in meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines.
• Assist in training pharmacy staff using Kinney Pharmacy Clerk and Technician Training Program.
• Interface with auditors and outside agencies as needed.
• Complete mandatory and regulatory training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
