Job summary

LongTerm Healthcare seeks Regional Float Nurses (RN/LPN) to provide flexible, high-quality nursing coverage across Central Illinois skilled nursing facilities. This role travels between locations to fill staffing gaps and support resident care.

You will assess residents, administer medications, and document care while collaborating with diverse teams and adhering to policies and infection control protocols. Various shifts and part-time options may be available.

Qualifications

• Current, active Illinois RN or LPN license in good standing.
• Experience in skilled nursing facility, long-term care, rehabilitation, or similar clinical setting preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with different facility teams.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between assigned facilities.
• Flexibility to work at different locations and adjust to changing staffing needs.
• Commitment to providing safe, compassionate, high-quality resident care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with their individualized care plans, facility policies, and applicable regulations.
• Travel between assigned skilled nursing facilities throughout Central Illinois based on operational needs.
• Provide temporary nursing coverage for scheduled absences, staffing shortages, and other coverage needs.
• Complete nursing assessments, medication administration, treatments, and documentation within the scope of licensure.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and communicate concerns promptly to the appropriate clinical leadership.
• Collaborate with facility administrators, Directors of Nursing, nursing supervisors, CNAs, and other healthcare professionals.
• Follow infection prevention protocols, resident safety procedures, and applicable state and federal requirements.
• Adapt quickly to different facility teams, workflows, and resident care needs.
• Maintain professional communication and a resident-centered approach at every location.
