Job summary

UCNT is seeking a Regional Float Certified Medical Assistant to support multiple Dallas-Fort Worth clinics. The role rotates among clinics to cover absences and high-volume days, ensuring patient flow from arrival to discharge.

Ideal candidates are cross-trained, adaptable, and able to learn each clinic's layout quickly. Requires CMA certification, BLS/CPR, and valid Texas driver’s license for local travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Active CMA certification and BLS/CPR.
• Prior CMA experience; urology or specialty-clinic preferred.
• Basic computer skills and EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Float among UCNT clinics within the region to cover staff absences and high-volume days.
• Assist with exams and procedures, injections, venipuncture, catheterization as needed.
• Perform specimen collection, vital signs, urinalysis; maintain sterile technique.
• Document calls, prescriptions and workflow in the EHR; coordinate with providers.
• Maintain clinic supplies, sterile processing and OSHA compliance; enable smooth patient flow.
