Job summary

Testco, a PEI-Genesis company, is expanding and seeks a self-motivated Regional Field Sales Representative to drive growth in Southern California, Arizona, and New Mexico. You will perform sales-building activities, profile accounts, generate sales from existing customers, and develop new customers through demand creation and product training.

The role requires 3–5 years of electronic components sales experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with CRM/ERP systems.

Qualifications

*The territory for this position will be Southern California, Arizona, and New Mexico*

*Previous electronic component field sales experience is highly preferred*

The Regional Field Sales Representative will be required to implement and drive the plan through daily sales-building activities in the allocated sales area. These activities include, but are not limited to:

• Profiling accounts to maximize sales and Demand creation opportunities
• Sales generation from existing customers
• Developing new customers
• Demand creation through design-in and product training.
• Relationship building with the customer, suppliers and Manufacturer Representative

The Employee shall have a thorough understanding of the sales duties and the products the Company promotes. The Employee will ultimately be responsible for the Sales & GP budget of the allocated sales area and will also work as a team to support and deliver the budgeted sales for the assigned area.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

A minimum of three to five years of sales experience in the electronic components field. Experience in electro-mechanical and display areas are highly desirable.

TECHNICAL JOB COMPETENCIES:

• Intermediate to advanced PC skills, as well as general knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word is preferred
• The candidate must show willingness to work with the internal CRM/ERP system
• Strong ability to close business and meet the budget and related KPIs
• Display good communication skills, both written and verbal, within and outside the company
• Highly skilled at presenting Testco’s products and supply model
• Excellent Time and Territory management skills for optimum customer coverage
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and datasheets
• Intermediate to advanced PC skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Ability to recognize a problem or potential problem and react quickly to drive resolution effectively.
• Work with customer base and Manufacturer Reps at all levels and disciplines to gain a full understanding of future purchasing needs and market trends. This includes planned key and potential customer visits throughout the assigned Region
• Be aware and follow up on all quotations in the sales territory and work with the Inside sales team and management to report the outcome or recommended action needed
• Timely communication of sales activities, strategies, trends, competitive information, or problems to maximize the sales efficiency of the company
• Provide in a timely manner any written reports necessary to communicate the budgets or strategies of your territory. This includes call reports to the inside sales and management
