Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a disciplined Facility Operations leader to guide regional maintenance across facilities. You will manage Facility Advisors and maintenance technicians, ensuring in-house work, reducing vendor spend, and driving asset performance and cost efficiency.

Travel is required as part of overseeing multiple sites. Ideal candidates bring a Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 5 years in facility or project management, strong leadership, and proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience plus five years facility/project management experience.
• Knowledge of LTL trucking facilities preferred.
• Thorough understanding of project management principles / techniques.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrative leadership and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to interpret AutoCAD and other drawing mediums preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and motivational skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Experience in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Select, educate, develop and lead a staff of employees.
• Monitor and manage workload across the region to ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Drive reductions in vendor spend by identifying opportunities for internal execution and tracking cost avoidance.
• Collaborate with staff to develop cost-effective scopes of work and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
• Analyze regional repair cost, technician productivity and vendor usage trends.
• Provide performance reporting and insights to leadership.
• Comply with laws/regulations and company policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
