Conifer Realty LLC is seeking an Area Facilities Manager for New Jersey and Pennsylvania. You will oversee maintenance across multiple affordable housing communities, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance while partnering with regional leadership.

Ideal candidates bring 5–7 years in multifamily facilities, strong leadership, and expertise in HUD/LIHTC standards. Travel within the region is required, with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in multifamily or affordable housing maintenance or facilities management.
• 3+ years of leadership experience overseeing maintenance or technical teams.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
• Familiarity with HUD, REAC, NSPIRE, and LIHTC inspection standards.
• Project management and vendor coordination experience.
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, and CMMS systems.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel regularly within the region.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance operations across multiple affordable housing communities.
• Ensure readiness for HUD, NSPIRE, REAC, and LIHTC inspections.
• Lead and mentor site maintenance teams through training, coaching, and leadership development.
• Collaborate with Property Management, Regional Facilities, and Asset Management to align maintenance operations with budget, compliance, and capital goals.
• Track KPIs, preventive maintenance, and unit turns to drive continuous improvement.
• Promote safety and ensure OSHA standards across all maintenance operations.
• Identify technologies and strategies to improve efficiency, sustainability, and asset longevity.
