Job summary

YMCA of Southwest Florida is seeking a Supervisory Facilities Manager to oversee custodial and maintenance operations across Venice and Englewood. The role reports to the Senior VP of Facilities and coordinates repairs, preventive maintenance, and small capital projects for assigned properties.

You will supervise maintenance staff, custodians, and contractors, ensure OSHA and policy compliance, manage budgets, and act as a liaison with building administrators to maintain safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in project and work management, quality control, and facility operations.
• CMMS experience creating and developing technician schedules as well as preventative maintenance.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills.
• Ability to supervise and direct a team and create a positive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, oversee, and/or conduct maintenance related work of YMCA properties and facilities assigned.
• Supervise and manage a team including maintenance staff, custodians, porters, and contract vendors.
• Ensure maintenance operations comply with YMCA policy and OSHA guidelines.
• Ensure facilities satisfy code compliance and industry regulations.
• Manage site budgets and project future needs.
• Act as liaison between site-based administrators and the Maintenance Dept.
• Coordinate logistics and completion of complex repairs.
• Hire and oversee subcontractors for specialized needs.
• Identify and implement tools to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Coordinate completion of work orders and maintain dashboards/reports.
• Inspect facilities and initiate repair/improvement solutions.
• Prioritize and complete preventive maintenance on time.
