The ideal candidate will reside in the service area or relocate, with 7+ years in external affairs and a track record of stakeholder collaboration across diverse groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 7+ years of experience in external affairs or government relations.

Responsibilities

• Lobbies by researching, analyzing, and advocating for company positions on pending agenda items
• Researches, compiles information, makes presentations, and meets with elected officials and business leaders to provide information
• Serves as a Board Member for BDO’s, chambers, corporate/business, non-profits, etc.
• Works with and across other business units to solve cross-functional problems and to build consensus
• Analyzes and creates networking opportunities by attending and inviting stakeholders to company events
• Creates opportunities and facilitates executive presentations
• Attends Council or Commission Meetings to monitor or present company business case positions
• Travels extensively
• Represents corporate leadership to external stakeholders
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
