Job summary

Florida Power & Light Company (NextEra Energy) is seeking an in-office Community Relations professional based in Plantation, FL. The role supports Broward, Collier and Lee Counties, developing and executing community relations plans and managing stakeholder engagement.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Grad / GED, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Travel, event setup, and emergency operations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements community relations plans to support company objectives
• Evaluates requests for investment/involvement and provides recommendations
• Oversees charitable contribution approvals, accounting and processing
• Manages employee volunteerism policies and programs
• Leads community involvement programs and foundation initiatives
• Provides research, analysis and planning assistance for community efforts
• Maximizes visibility and impact through cost-effective promotion and communication
• Coordinates responses to community requests for involvement
• Collects and reports data on community involvement activities
• Performs other duties as assigned
