Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking an Area Experience Leader to oversee 4–6 retail offices, ensuring a consistent, high-quality client experience.

You will coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, set expectations, and balance strategic oversight with hands-on leadership across multiple locations. You’ll own office readiness, staffing, compliance, and day-to-day operations while driving revenue, growth, and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years leading teams in multi-unit retail/service/ops with accountability for performance outcomes.
• Strong client-centric mindset with consultative client experience.
• Strong leadership capability with coaching, development, and accountability.
• Proven ability to drive business and financial results across multiple locations, including labor management.
• Experience leading through change and adopting new processes.
• Ability to prioritize competing demands across locations with independent judgment.
• Experience with facilities, staffing, or compliance.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills for client escalations and issues.
• Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into action.
• Ability to travel frequently between offices for in-person presence.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of the consultative client experience across 4-6 offices.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes and tools.
• Lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals with clear expectations and accountability.
• Provide coaching based on observed behaviors and performance data.
• Identify patterns and address performance gaps; develop bench strength.
• Own revenue, growth, and operational performance across offices.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement actions to improve results.
• Ensure daily operations across offices including staffing and compliance.
• Manage office readiness, staffing, facilities, and onboarding for seasonal demand.
