Job summary

Rain for Rent seeks a Regional Estimator to lead cost and price estimating for large projects, mining for new bidding opportunities. You will guide the inside and outside sales teams with training on project applications, installation, operation, and risk.

Analyze construction docs, specs, proposals, and related materials to craft safe, profitable projects. Collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure bids are comprehensive and within scope, delivering timely budgets and value

Qualifications

• Experience in applying engineering principles to bid and cost estimation.
• Understanding of product performance to assess impact on quotes.
• Proficiency with Zoho to manage customer and project data.

Responsibilities

• Utilize ZOHO, Construct Connect and IIR to identify significant opportunities on large projects.
• Collaborate with the Branch Manager and Sales Team to manage the bid/quote process for significant opportunities.
• Study specifications to assist the operations team in planning procedures for job execution, timelines, work environment, and staffing.
• Collaborate with Fleet and Engineering to ensure equipment in the quote is within scope and available.
• Research construction documents and analyze specifications to determine estimated costs.
• Produce scope of work, schedule, and installation process.
• Review bid requirements and coordinate contract terms and conditions.
• Include value-engineering ideas on bids.
• Submit 100% of bids and budgets in a timely manner.
• Obtain clarification on plans and specifications from architects, project managers, and engineers when necessary.
• Develop unit costs accurately.
• Attend project site pre-bid meetings and site tours as needed.
• Accurately assess and plan takeoff workload.
• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs using company format and coding.
• Develop and analyze value engineering options.

Job Summary

As a Regional Estimator, you will be responsible for overall large project cost and price estimating, including mining for new and upcoming project bidding. You will provide project application, installation, operation, risk training, and mentoring to the inside and outside sales team to win profitable projects. You will work with customers and internal resources to analyze construction documents, specifications, proposals, and other materials to prepare safe and profitable projects.

Responsibilities

• Review bid requirements and coordinate contract terms and conditions.
