Regional Environmental Health & Safety Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and motivated individual to oversee and manage environmental, health, and safety functions within our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local EHS regulations, as well as developing and implementing EHS programs, strategies, and policies.

Job Details
Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement EHS programs and policies to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and company standards.
  2. Conduct regular site audits to identify potential environmental and safety hazards, ensuring corrective actions are taken promptly.
  3. Lead and coordinate all regional EHS training programs, including emergency response, hazard communication, and safety equipment usage.
  4. Manage and maintain all EHS documentation and records, ensuring they are up-to-date and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into business decisions and operations.
  6. Investigate and report on all incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and implementing preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
  7. Monitor and analyze EHS performance metrics, providing regular reports to senior management and recommending improvements where necessary.
  8. Stay abreast of current and emerging EHS regulations and industry trends, ensuring the company is informed and prepared for any changes.
  9. Foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across the organization, promoting awareness and understanding of EHS issues among all employees.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in an EHS role within the manufacturing industry.
  3. Proven experience with document control, with a strong attention to detail and an ability to manage and maintain complex records systems.
  4. Excellent knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations and standards.
  5. Strong leadership skills, with an ability to motivate and engage teams towards achieving EHS objectives.
  6. Exceptional communication skills, with an ability to convey complex EHS information in a clear and understandable manner.
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to identify and address EHS issues effectively and efficiently.
  8. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification is preferred.
  9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management systems.
