Job summary

Universal Management Services seeks a Regional Employee Relations Manager to guide fair, compliant practices across a diverse, multi-site workforce. You will lead investigations, counsel leaders, and partner with legal and HR to mitigate risk.

This role focuses on policy administration, performance coaching, and employee engagement, with a strong emphasis on employment law, confidentiality, and cross‑functional collaboration with Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, and Operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in human resources with a strong focus on employee relations.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations and handling complex employee relations matters.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in sensitive situations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; SHRM certifications are a plus.
• Experience supporting multi-site operations within transportation, logistics, or related industries.
• Experience working with hourly and salaried employees.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for employee relations across multiple locations.
• Investigate complaints, harassment concerns, policy violations, and other issues.
• Conduct impartial investigations, document findings, and recommend actions.
• Partner with local management on hearings and disciplinary actions.
• Provide guidance on performance, attendance, and conflict resolution.
• Ensure consistent interpretation and application of policies.
• Coach managers on communication, documentation, and accountability.
• Support policy administration and compliance with employment laws.
• Collaborate with HR and leadership on organizational initiatives.
