Regional Emergent Bilingual Coach - Permian Basin (25-26)

Join IDEA Public Schools as a Regional Emergent Bilingual Coach - Permian Basin (25-26).

Description

The Emergent Bilingual (EB) Coach will oversee regional schools, ensuring high-quality instruction and compliance for EB students. Responsibilities include coaching teachers and leaders, conducting classroom observations, providing professional development, data analysis, lesson plan feedback, and maintaining 100% EB compliance with all state and federal requirements. This position is partially grant-funded and requires daily tracking of activities.

Location & Travel

Based in the Permian Basin (Midland/Odessa). Preference for local candidates or those willing to relocate. Travel throughout the region is expected.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support classroom teachers and leaders in implementing English Language Development (ELD).
  • Conduct classroom observations and provide coaching with clear next steps.
  • Deliver on-site staff development on data-driven learning and instructional strategies for ELD.
  • Support building interactive classrooms aligned with curriculum.
  • Model lessons to ensure effective delivery of ELD programs.
  • Identify instructional strategies to improve achievement for English Learners and students with diverse needs.
  • Participate in regional meetings to analyze assessment data and improve EL outcomes.
  • Support reclassification processes and maintain EB documentation using Ellevation.
  • Assist with TELPAS assessment preparations.
Weekly Time Allocation

Approximately 20 hours/week on direct campus support, 4 hours on data review, 1.5 hours on meetings, 2.5 hours on tasks, 8 hours on compliance work, and additional time for regional activities.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bilingual or ESL Certification
  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred)
  • 1-3 years of experience with EB students
  • Proficiency in Office 365
  • 3+ years of experience preferred
Skills
  • Design and deliver professional development on EB support programs.
  • Enhance systems and increase capacity through effective PD.
  • Coordinate with regional and campus teams on EB priorities.
  • Coach campus leaders and ensure fidelity to coaching cycles.
  • Complete Time & Effort documentation for funding.
Benefits & Compensation

Salary ranges from $78,900 to $92,000, commensurate with experience. Benefits include health plans, disability, life insurance, parental benefits, flexible spending, vacation, referral bonuses, professional development, and a 403(b) plan. Relocation stipends may be available.
