Job summary

King County Housing Authority in Redmond, WA is seeking a journeyman electrician to maintain, upgrade and repair electrical systems in residential units as part of the North Regional Upgrade Crew.

You will work on rewiring, panel upgrades, arc fault breakers, GFI, smoke detectors, and related tasks within single units and occasionally building systems; teamwork with carpentry, plumbing, painting required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Journey Level ELO1 Commercial Electrician.
• 3+ to 5 years of experience in construction and/or maintenance of residential buildings.

Responsibilities

• Upgrade electrical systems to meet current electrical code; replaces wiring, electrical panels, switches, outlets, meter packs, breakers, heaters, and lighting; troubleshooting existing circuits.
• Replacing and installing whole house fans, exhaust fans, and range hoods; replacing and installing ducting and mechanical fixtures.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings, specifications, and manuals; prepares and interprets work orders and preventive maintenance records; supports project teams.
