Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced Estimator/Cost Lead in the United States to oversee regional estimating functions and coordinate with project managers on cost control and procurement efforts. The role demands strong analytical skills, reliability, and the ability to manage multiple estimating activities across projects.

Qualifications

• 10 years of related experience with at least 3 in supervision.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Manages and administers the estimating functions in assigned region, area or group.
• Implements established estimating policies in assigned region, area or group to meet corporate objectives.
• Works with project managers to provide administrative and technical assistance in negotiating purchase orders, subcontracts and change orders.
• Supervises the preparation of market cost studies, materials and methods, and recommends changes to database.
• Contacts subcontractors and suppliers for outsource pricing.
