Job description

The Regional EHS Manager is responsible for EHS at the Clifton Park NY site as well as providing EHS support to Repligen’s Customer/Field Service Business Unit. The Regional EHS Manager ensures that EHS risks are managed and ensures compliance with regulatory and industry standards. The main objective for the Regional EHS Manager is to protect our employees, customers, organization, and the environment. This role identifies potential hazards and conditions and works cross-functionally to continually mitigate risk and improve workplace operations. As the regional EHS leader, this role recommends solutions to protect workers and the environment, trains employees on how to work safely, and maintains documentation of EHS programs, procedures, and activities. This role works in conjunction with HR and other managers to manage incident claims, investigations, root cause, and to develop and verify actions for prevention. Responsibilities

Serving as a trusted organizational partner who drives a proactive safety culture by inspiring collaborative, team-led solutions and providing EHS subject matter expertise Leading the development and implementation of EHS programs for manufacturing site and field-based operations Assessing, tracking, analyzing, and reporting on environmental health and safety performance Developing, implementing, and improving EHS programs and management systems to ensure full alignment with global standards and regulatory requirements Collaborating with site engineering and operations to develop energy control procedures, deliver lockout/tagout training, and continuously improve the site’s energy control program Assessing workplace electrical hazards to develop and implement a comprehensive electrical safety program aligned with OSHA and NFPA 70E standards Collaborating with process engineering to identify, assess, and control machine guarding hazards through engineered solutions Overseeing emergency preparedness, response coordination, and the management of hazardous materials and waste Serving as the site's primary point of contact for Global EHS, regulatory agencies, customers, and third-party audits Leading comprehensive EHS inspections, job hazard assessments, and chemical approval workflows while driving timely corrective and preventive action resolutions to mitigate workplace risks Preparing and delivering regular EHS performance reports and metrics for site and network leadership Managing and improving EHS documentation systems to ensure complete audit readiness and legal compliance Implementing an EHS contractor management program to ensure all on-site third-party workers adhere to safety protocols, regulatory standards, and site-specific requirements Collaborate with Global EHS to develop and improve global processes, procedures, training, and initiatives Investigate and document all workplace accidents and incidents, focusing on root-cause analysis to implement preventative measures and foster organizational learning Ensuring the timely escalation and communication of EHS issues, critical risks, and remediation plans to site leadership, Global EHS and senior management Coordinate with the building owner to prevent and manage facility-related EHS risks.

Education, Experience, Skills, Competencies

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field, A Masters degree is preferred Professional Certification such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM Deep knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and international EHS regulations Comprehensive understanding and proven experience implementing lockout tagout, electrical safety, and machine guarding programs Working knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 7+ years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment is required with 2-3 years in a leadership role is preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Collaborative, partnership-oriented approach Comfortable operating in matrixed, global organizations Lean or continuous improvement background Ability to travel (up to 25%) to global manufacturing locations and field sites Able to conduct site walkthroughs, inspections, and audits in manufacturing environments Strong computer, attention to detail, and recordkeeping skills.

The estimated base salary range for this role, based in the United States of America is $103,000 -140,000.00. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to an individual's qualifications, location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, employees are eligible to participate in one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
