Job summary

CRH Americas Building Products is seeking an Area EHS Manager to oversee occupational health, safety, environmental and sustainability across four locations in the Great Lakes region. The role requires 60-75% travel between Illinois, Wisconsin and Michigan, with base in Elgin, IL or Romeoville, IL.

You will collaborate with regional leaders to implement EHS standards, lead site-level professionals, and drive a culture of safety beyond compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in EHS, Science or Engineering related fields or relevant experience.
• 5+ Years in EHS and/or Manufacturing with EHS responsibility.
• Strong communication across departments to facilitate integration.
• Expert knowledge of OSHA CFR 1910 regulations.
• Experience leading a team of EHS professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide a consistent EHS presence across facilities and identify improvement areas with sustainable value for growth.
• Partner with Area General Manager to ensure ownership at each site.
• Lead EHS professionals and site managers to integrate into IPG EHS standards.
• Participate in operating plans, strategic planning, EHS initiatives, audits, systems, regulatory reporting.
• Supervise EHS professionals regionally, directly and indirectly.
