Job summary

Kenco Logistics is seeking a Regional Driver (NonCDL) in Oregon/Portland to transport products from distribution centers to vendors, with White Glove service at every delivery. The role requires strong time management and communication skills to ensure safe, timely deliveries.

Travel is heavy (approximately 75% or greater). The pay range is $29.20–$43.73 per hour, with comprehensive medical, vision, dental, life, disability, retirement benefits, and PTO from day one.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of tractor trailer NonCDL driving experience within the past 7 years.
• CDL may be required.
• Meets FMCSA and company requirements. Pass Background and Drug Screening. Clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operate straight truck per DOT regulations to transport product safely and legally from the Distribution Centers to the Vendor’s destination.
• Maintain daily logs, trip reports and other documents; perform full pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Provide White Glove service at every delivery and communicate delivery issues to supervision.

About the Position

The Regional Driver NonCDL operates straight truck equipment in accordance with all DOT regulations to transport product safely and legally from the Distribution Centers, and their Vendor’s to their final destination. This position may be assigned to business units that require White Glove service that goes beyond standard shipping methods. The role must have good time management and communications skills to ensure that the product is delivered in a safe and timely manner.

Functions

• Operates straight truck equipment in accordance with all DOT regulations to transport product safely and legally from the Distribution Centers to the Vendor’s destination.
• Operates the straight truck to ensure that the product is delivered in a timely manner.
• Understands the utilization of secure devices and straps, and monitors freight for secure devices and straps to ensure products are delivered to their final destination undamaged and in their original condition.
• Required to follow company policy, participate in required trainings and keep truck clean.
• Maintains driver’s daily logs, trip reports and other documents as required.
• Responsible for performing a full pre-trip and post-trip inspections on tractor-trailer.
• Immediately reports all instances of damaged product to the Transportation Supervisor/Manager.
• Provide White Glove service at every delivery.
• Communicates any delivery issues up line to the Transportation Supervisor/Manager.
• Keeps company equipment fueled, tidy, and in compliance with DOT and company inspection requirements.
• Accountable for all assigned tools and equipment.
• Maintain professional conduct and attitude towards other motorists who share the highway.
• Conform to all DOT and OSHA regulations and state laws.
• Perform any other reasonable request as directed by management.
