Job summary

Kenco Logistics is seeking a Regional Driver CDL A to operate tractor/trailer equipment in compliance with DOT regulations and company policy. The role involves delivering goods from distribution centers to vendors with a focus on safety and timely service.

The candidate will perform vehicle inspections, maintain logs, and provide White Glove service at every delivery, while adhering to all regulations and company standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of tractor trailer Class A driving experience.
  • Class A CDL required.
  • Pass Background and Drug Screening.

Responsibilities

  • Operate tractor/trailer or straight truck in accordance with DOT regulations and transport product safely.
  • Deliver product to the final destination in a timely manner.
  • Maintain daily logs, trip reports and required documentation.
  • Perform full pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.

Join a company where your contributions help move the world forward—one shipment at a time.About the PositionThe Regional Driver CDL A operates tractor/trailer or straight truck equipment in accordance with all DOT regulations to transport product safely and legally from the Distribution Centers, and their Vendor’s to their final destination. This position may be assigned to business units that require White Glove service that goes beyond standard shipping methods.FunctionsOperates tractor/trailer or straight truck equipment in accordance with all DOT regulations to transport product safely and legally from the Distribution Centers to the Vendor’s destination.Operates the tractor/trailer to ensure that the product is delivered in a timely manner.Understands the utilization of secure devices and straps, and monitors freight for secure devices and straps to ensure products are delivered to their final destination undamaged and in their original condition.Required to follow company policy, participate in required trainings and keep truck clean.Maintains driver’s daily logs, trip reports and other documents as required.Responsible for performing a full pre-trip and post-trip inspections on tractor-trailer.Immediately reports all instances of damaged product to the Transportation Supervisor/Manager.Provide White Glove service at every delivery.Communicates any delivery issues up line to the Transportation Supervisor/ManagerKeeps equipment fueled, tidy, and in compliance with inspection requirements.Accountable for all assigned tools and equipment.Maintain professional conduct and attitude towards other motorists who share the highway.Conform to all DOT and OSHA regulations and state laws.Perform any other reasonable request as directed by management.QualificationsMinimum 2 years of tractor trailer Class A driving experienceClass A CDL requiredMeets FMCSA and company requirementsPass Background and Drug Screening.Clean driving recordCompetenciesAction Oriented - Taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.Collaborates - Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.Decision Quality - Making good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward.Optimizes Work Processes - Knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement.Situational Adaptability - Adapting approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations.Travel RequirementsThis position is expected to travel approximately 75% >or greater.A passport is not required, but recommended.DisclosuresFor California residents – please enter or copy/paste the address below into your address bar to review an important notice regarding Kenco’s privacy policy https://www.kencogroup.com/ccpa-notice-at-collection-for-employees-and-applicants/The statements above are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this job.
