Job summary

Hillyard, Inc. in Saint Joseph, MO is seeking a CDL-A Regional Driver to deliver across 48 states with newer Class 8 tractors and a reliable home weekly schedule. Expect steady miles and a role built on safety and efficiency.

You will be paid by mile with stop pay and an annual performance bonus, plus a $2,500 sign-on/retention bonus. Refrigerated or heated trailers experience is a plus, with access to modern equipment and support for success.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A with 2+ years of regional driving experience.
• Clean driving record and knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations.
• Hazmat or Tanker endorsements are a plus (not required).

Responsibilities

• Run regional routes across multiple states.
• Safely deliver and unload at scheduled and unattended stops.
• Plan trips efficiently to meet delivery windows.
• Use electric forklift / power dolly for unloading when needed.
• Complete trip documentation and stay compliant with DOT regulations.
• Operate onboard systems and maintain strong safety standards.

$2,500 Sign On/Retention Bonus

Hillyard, Inc. is hiring a CDL-A Regional Driver based out of St. Joseph, MO.

Looking for steady miles, newer equipment, and a schedule you can count on? Join a company that respects your time on the road and keeps you moving.

What Drivers Can Expect:

• ~135,000 miles/year – consistent, reliable routes


• Paid by mile + stop pay + annual performance bonus


• Home weekly (typically midweek return)


• Newer Class 8 sleeper tractors with ELD


• Planned routes with an average of 4 delivery stops + return load


• Access to 24/7 delivery locations (flexibility, less waiting)

What You’ll Do:

• Run regional routes across all 48 states


• Safely deliver and unload at scheduled and unattended stops


• Plan trips efficiently to meet delivery windows


• Use electric forklift / power dolly for unloading when needed


• Complete trip documentation and stay compliant with DOT regulations


• Operate onboard systems and maintain strong safety standards

What You Bring:

• Valid CDL-A license with 2+ years of experience


• Safe driving record and strong understanding of DOT/FMCSA regulations


• Experience with material handling equipment (preferred)


• Hazmat & Tanker endorsements (a plus)


• Experience with refrigerated or heated trailers (Thermo-King knowledge preferred)
