Job summary

Commercial Metals delivers a compelling opportunity for a CDL-equipped driver to service customers, contractors, and job sites across the region. You will complete delivery paperwork and coordinate with dispatch, sales, and clients to ensure timely, accurate deliveries.

You will conduct daily vehicle inspections, load and secure cargo, maintain logs, and comply with DOT regulations and safety rules. The role offers growth, training, and a sign-on bonus as part of a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class A CDL and 1+ year tractor-trailer experience (3 years flatbed OTR preferred).
• Must be at least 21, able to lift up to 65 lbs, and work outdoors in all weather.
• No DUI/DWI within past 5 years; able to pass DOT physicals and drug tests.
• Solid English verbal communication and listening skills; able to work independently or with others.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Complete delivery paperwork and communicate load or timing issues with dispatch, sales, and customers.
• Conduct daily pre-trip, inter-trip, and post-trip inspections of truck and cargo.
• Deliver products to customers, contractors, and jobsites within the region.
• Follow all safety rules and wear required PPE.
• Inventory and inspect products to confirm quantity and condition.
• Load, secure, and deliver cargo safely and on time.
• Maintain vehicle service and repair logs in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Operate vehicles using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and safety dashcams (training provided).
• Perform loading tasks including chaining, strapping, tarping, trailer hooking/unhooking, and safe ascents/descents.
• Work flexible hours and be available based on business needs.
